Bo Cumming Løkkegaard — a biologist with specialties in marine biology, biochemistry and geology. Bo has been teaching and communicating science for the past 20 years. In the 1990s he was the Danish Institute for Study Abroad (DIS)'s first Director of Science programs, building their semester and summer programs and study tours in Denmark and Iceland.
Iceland holds a special place in Bo's heart, as he has been visiting there regularly since childhood, and as an adult, teaching geology and biology courses alongside faculty from the University of Iceland and out in the island nation's incredible nature.
For the past 15 years, Bo has been involved in a number of national and international science education projects, documentary films, expeditions, field courses, and curriculum development. Bo's passion is teaching — bringing nature, science and the wonders of Scandinavia to students of all ages.
Bo also consults on science communications projects, curriculum development, content for film and TV documentaries. He is currently consulting for CIEE Copenhagen, and recently, the organizers of the 2017 European Science Journalist Conference in Copenhagen,as well as planning web resources for science teachers, and writing press releases for the Niels Bohr Institute.

Michelle Cumming Løkkegaard — an international higher education administrator with 25 years of experience. Michelle worked for more than 15 years at the University of Minnesota as a study abroad coordinator, specializing in new program development and program re-design, partnerships with faculty and academic departments, and managing programs in under-represented countries and disciplines. Michelle was an early architect of the U of MN's curriculum integration efforts, a wholistic partner-based approach to imbedding international experiences into students' academic plans.
Michelle relocated to Copenhagen in 2003 and has worked for several United Nations agencies in human resources, coordinating staff training progams. From 2009-2018 she was an administrator at the University of Copenhagen's Niels Bohr Institute, managing a large, international research group. She is now the Student Life Manager for CIEE's new Global Institute in Copenhagen.
